Scripps Health Administrative Services supports our five hospitals and 19 outpatient facilities, which treat half a million patients annually through 2,600 affiliated physicians.This OR RN Lead Opportunity is an 8 hour full time Day shift located at our Scripps Memorial Hospital in La Jolla. The shift will generally be 6:30a-3:00p Monday - Friday. Call is required on some weekends.

As a Lead RN in the Operating Room, you will be:
Responsible for the management and coordination of patient care within the Care Unit on a per shift basis. You will be checking upcoming scheduled cases up to two weeks to assure schedule accuracy. The Lead RN circulates in cases and functions as the Care Unit expert and provides functional direction to members of the Patient Care team. This position does not have any direct reports. This role will mostly circulate in the ortho service line although you will be required to have a strong background in multiple OR specialties. You will work directly with Physicians and monitor that their needs in the OR are being met. Also, collaborate with SPD and supply chains so that the needs are met for surgical cases.
With 444 licensed beds and a Level I Trauma Center we are consistently recognized for quality patient care and we were the first hospital in San Diego to beby the American Nursing Association for excellence in patient care. With 10 OR suites, we conduct 40-50 surgeries per day.


Three years of Nursing experience is required one or more of those years of RN experience need to be in the Operating Room


California Registered Nurse License


Current American Heart Association BLS provider certification


Must be able to speak, read and follow instructions in English


Must be able to demonstrate positive behaviors.



Preferred


Experience with system Epic

Prefer 2 or more years of experience in to OR
