Position: Resident ManagerProperty: Harbor Yard Location: Long
Beach Position SummaryWSH Management is currently recruiting for an
on-site Resident Manager for a 194-unit, low-income tax-credit
apartment community located in Long Beach, CA. This is a full-time
position, 40 hours per week. What we Offer:
- Payrate $30 to $32 per hour, commensurate on experience.
- Required to live on-site - 2-bedroom apartment

- Demonstrate ability to understand financial goals, operate
asset in owners' best interest in accordance with Policies &
Procedures Manual.
- Maintain accurate records of all community transactions and
submit them on a timely basis (i.e., rent rolls, delinquency
reports, move-in/move-outs, etc.).
- Ensure property is rented to fullest capacity and lost rent is
minimized.
- Prepare and/or implement procedures and systems within company
guidelines to ensure orderly, efficient workflow.
- Working knowledge of California landlord/tenant law, and common
procedures and notices.
- Consistently use successful techniques and company directives
to screen, hire, orient and train new personnel.
- Ensure efficiency of staff through ongoing training,
instruction, counseling and leadership.
- Maintain community appearance and ensure repairs are noted and
completed on a timely basis. This requires regular community
inspections and tours.
- Thorough understanding of the English language and ability to
communicate effectively with others.
- Must possess a valid Driver's License, reliable transportation
and current auto insurance coverage as this position may require
some driving for company business.
- Participate in training (in Southern California) to comply with
new projects, programs or existing laws.
- Be able to work evenings and weekends on call as needed.
QualificationsWhile we are proud to offer on-the-job training for
all positions, we prefer you to start with the following
experience:
- Minimum of 2 years on-site as a Resident Manager; will consider
3 years supervisory experience in a customer service-related
business with appropriate certification(s); will consider 2 years
of an Assistant Manager to a large 100+ community, demonstrating
key leadership and decision-making roles/duties.
- Affordable Housing and lease up experience.
- Property Management (or similar) software experience.
- Supervisory experience.
- High School Diploma Required. College degree preferred
- Must possess strong attention to detail and sales ability.
- Competence in personal computer skills, keyboard, internet
search, math, Microsoft Office Suite/Office 365 including Word,
Excel, Outlook as well as property management software
applications.
- Must possess a valid driver's license and maintain current auto
insurance.
- Candidates will be required to pass a background and drug
screening. (A conviction will not necessarily disqualify you from
employment with WSH Management.) The Company also offers
